JACKIE ALLENBRAND
Farmer, Advocate, Founder & President of P.H.A.R.M. Dog USA
A life-long resident of her community in northwest Missouri, author Jackie Allenbrand has always loved dogs and brought home every stray that crossed her path. With double degrees from North West Missouri State in early childhood administration and elementary and special education, she taught school and coached basketball for eight years until her health required a change of focus.
In 2005, Jackie combined her appreciation for dogs with her passion to support farmers facing illness, injury, or disability, and founded P.H.A.R.M. Dog USA, a non-profit that connects specially-trained dogs with farmers in need of additional help. The proceeds from her first book will go directly to fund this mission.
“I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for lost dogs—all of them have great potential—and for farmers that help feed us every day.”
Jackie has an especially soft spot for her farmer-husband Chris whom she has lived and worked with on their farm for 25 years, raising cattle and growing hay.
